I’m just a geek that works with Cisco gear for a living. I’m fortunate enough to work with a couple of really smart guys and I’ve learned a lot from them. We will work on just about anything branded with the Cisco logo. Over the years I’ve worked with cisco routers, switches, firewalls, vpn concentrators, wireless access points, wireless bridges, wireless lan controllers, IPTV, unified communications manager, unified communications manager express, unity, unity express, unity connection, Cisco phones, voice gateways, NAC, CUAE, and anything else I can’t think of right now. When I first started out as a contract Network Technician in the 90′s I had no idea what a firewall did or what an IP address was. Wow. What a long journey from then til now. Rare is the day that I don’t learn something else new. I keep thinking some day I’ll pack one more sliver of knowledge in my head and it will explode like the dude in that 80′s movie Scanners.
For those of you who want to know why there is a zero in the middle of my nickname and domain name my answer is simple, it’s a “goose egg”. (Look it up.)
